Psalm 19:1 - Celebrate the beauty of God's creation with this image from the James Webb Space Telescope. This is the Cartwheel Galaxy, formed by a high-speed collision occurring some 400 million years ago.
The bright inner disk connects to the outer colorful ring with the arms of the galaxy, which look like spokes. Hence the name Cartwheel.
All of the tiny bluish dots amidst the swirling red are individual stars or stars in the making. Behind the galaxy are thousands more galaxies, each with millions of stars.
King David had no idea that when he composed Psalm 19, the universe was this huge and colorful, yet his words ring truer now than when he wrote this poem.
